Noise & Vibration Measurement

Vibration is monitored using reliable calibrated seismographs during pile installation, boring activities or blasting. The results obtained are in the form of peak particle velocity (PPV) with the corresponding frequency. The PPV obtained is then compared to the allowable emission levels for the particular structures evaluated. Noise measurement is obtained in dB(A) using Class 1 sound level meters.

Maximum noise levels are measured at the microphone location and compared to the recommended allowable levels set by the local authority or the Department of Environment.

Vibration monitoring and noise measurement ensure seismic and noise levels are within allowable limits.
